Course Description: Instructor-led training course covers the basic principles of respiratory protection and the requirements to medically qualify to wear a respirator. 

Who should take it:  This course is required for anyone completing air-purifying cartridge or N-95 respirator fit-testing. Course is followed by the respirator fit test

Prerequisites: EH04: HAZARD COMMUNICATION (EMPLOYEE RIGHT-TO-KNOW)

Estimated course duration:  30 minutes

Frequency: Within the 30 days prior to each fit test for which you are scheduled

Please Note: This course is not sufficient for employee respirator usage. Employees wearing a respirator must also have medical approval and undergo a fit test with EHS. The fit test must be repeated annually.
