Our Mission
The mission of the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine Continuing Medical Education Program is to provide comprehensive, evidence-based, and innovative continuing medical education activities for health care providers—both full-time and voluntary—as well as medical students and residents across multiple disciplines. These activities aim to increase medical knowledge and skills that ultimately improve clinical practice, behavior, and patient outcomes. The Office of Continuing Medical Education is committed to improving the health outcomes of all patients our learners serve. The Continuing Medical Education Program presents educational resources that help health care providers become transformational leaders in their professional communities, locally and across Texas. Aligning with the Fertitta College of Medicine’s mission, the Office of CME strives for excellence in medical education, research, and health care—growing locally, regionally, and nationally as a recognized medical education program of the highest academic quality, grounded in evidence-based practice and informed by the non-medical drivers of health.
Fertitta College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians and is available for full-time and voluntary faculty.
