Skyler McLaurin-Jiang, M.D.

Skyler McLaurin-Jiang, M.D., is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Health Systems & Population Health Sciences and one of the course co-directors for Physicians, Patients, and Populations. She brings expertise in medical education, pediatric clinical care and community-based research to the College of Medicine.

McLaurin-Jiang completed her pediatric residency at Wake Forest University and a National Research Service Award (NRSA) Primary Care Research Fellowship at the University of North Carolina, where she also earned a Master of Public Health. She previously served as faculty at Texas Tech University Health and Lone Star College and is currently a DrPH candidate at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Her scholarly work focuses on medical education, food insecurity, maternal and child health, and community-based participatory research. She has led studies examining postpartum food insecurity and mental health and has extensive experience in curriculum development, simulation-based instruction and small-group facilitation across undergraduate and graduate medical education.
