Jacqueline Macha, M.Ed.
Jacqueline (Jac) Macha is the Chief Development Officer for UH Health. In this role
she oversees comprehensive philanthropic support for the Tilman J. Fertitta Family
College of Medicine, the Andy & Barbara Gessner College of Nursing, the College of
Optometry, the College of Pharmacy, and the Graduate College of Social Work at the
University of Houston. She has 30 years of experience in higher education and health
care fundraising and strategic planning.
Immediately before joining the University of Houston, Jac was the chief development
officer for the school of natural sciences at Rice University and, prior to Rice,
was the director of development for the Houston Methodist Hospital Foundation and
Houston Methodist Research Institute. Jac began her career at The University of Texas
at Austin where she served for 16 years before taking the role of associate vice president
for development at Concordia University Texas.
She serves on the boards of The Health Museum, The Women’s Fund, and The HERR Foundation,
and has volunteered with the St. Jude Houston Committee, the Down Syndrome Association
of Central Texas, Tahirih Justice Center, and was an Inaugural Member of the National
Federation of Business and Professional Women Clubs Houston Chapter.
Jac earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communication from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Education from Concordia University Texas.
