The American Public Health Association (APHA) recently recognized Omolola Adepoju, research director with the Humana Integrated Health System Sciences Institute at the University of Houston and clinical associate professor at the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine, for her impactful research in the area of positive aging.

She earned an honorable mention for APHA’s 2020 Erickson Foundation Research Award with her submission titled “Do emergency department copays influence emergency room and urgent care utilization? Evidence from a Medicare Advantage population.”
