With undergraduate programs in architecture, interior architecture, industrial design, and environmental design, the Hines College offers an integrated approach to design. We capitalize on the synergy of combining and overlapping our degree programs to prepare students to take advantage of evolving professions.

Our undergraduate studies revolve around four main programs:

  • Architecture – Throughout our 75+ year history, our undergraduate architecture program has been the foundation of our College, producing highly-regarded architects committed to developing innovative solutions to real-world problems.

  • Interior Architecture – Established in 2011, our interior architecture program prepares students to become design leaders and innovators across a range of interior practices, from small-scale installations and design-build projects to large-scale adaptions of existing spaces.

  • Industrial Design – Our College has one of the only industrial design programs in the southern United States. Our program focuses on product design, led by award-winning faculty with expertise in sustainability, advanced materials, human factors, advanced computing, and methods of industrialized production.

  • Environmental Design - This program has recently gone through a transformation, offering students the opportunity to graduate in three years, meaning students qualify for fixed tuition through the University's UHin4 program (unlike the Bachelor of Architecture degree plan). Environmental design offers a trans-curriculum degree with courses and studios currently offered in the Hines College’s architecture, interior architecture, and industrial design programs.
