Regalia FAQs

Where can I find the most up-to-date information on regalia and deadlines?

Visit our campus bookstore online here. At the bottom of the browser, under Store Announcements, there are links to regalia ordering and any updated deadlines and distributions dates. You can also look for information on the UH Commencement page or by clicking here if you have a Herff Jones online order questions.

How can I order regalia?

Click here to place an online order by June 5th. Our campus bookstore will also be receiving a bulk order around May 18th, and you can purchase regalia up until commencement ceremonies.

What is the new deadline to place online orders for regalia?

The deadline for online orders is June 5th.

Should I wait to order regalia?

You can place an order from now up until June 5th or wait until the bulk order arrives in-store around May 18th. If you know that you will walk during the new commencement ceremonies, we suggest ordering online before the deadline, if you can.

I ordered online. Can I have my regalia shipped?

Yes, we are partnering with our vendor to get online orders shipped to students. You will receive an email asking if you would like the order shipped, and it will give you an opportunity to update the shipping address. PLEASE respond per the instructions on the email as quickly as possible. Once a response is received, it can take up to approximately 28 days for the regalia to arrive to you.

I placed an order in-store during Grad Fair. Can that regalia order be shipped to me?

Yes, please contact our campus bookstore by emailing They will get your shipping address and ship the regalia package to you once it arrives in-store.

Will I have to come to campus to pick up my regalia?

If you place an online order by going here, the order will ship to you. Grad Fair orders can be shipped once they arrive, please email to provide your mailing address. Bulk orders are set to arrive in May, and shipping will be determined at that time.

What if I miss the online order deadline, but I do not want to come to the store to purchase my regalia?

The deadline is extended to June 5th, so we suggest placing the online order through there as soon as possible. After that date, please work with our campus bookstore by emailing them at

Can I get a refund on my Regalia?

Yes! Unopened regalia can be returned for full credit, however, it needs to be returned through the same way it was purchased. This means:

    • The order was placed online through Herff Jones – you should contact Herff Jones Customer service and request to cancel your order and receive a refund.
    • Order was placed during Grad Fair at the bookstore – you should contact our campus bookstore and a refund will be provided.
I paid cash during Grad Fair, but need to return my regalia.  Is this possible?

Yes! You can still receive a refund on the unopened regalia. You should stop by the store to receive a cash refund once the store reopens.

I am not sure if I will walk or not. Can I still get my regalia package and decide later?

Yes! This is a keepsake item we recommend you get whether you walk or not. You can also use it if you end up walking during a different ceremony. If you decide not to walk and you want a refund, unopened regalia can be refunded before the commencement date.

I received my regalia and opened the package. What can I do?

If you purchased it online, you would need to reach out to Herff Jones customer service to learn more about their policy for unopened packages.

If you purchased from our campus bookstore, you should speak to a member of management to see how they can assist you during this time.

What about Honor Cords? Can I order those by phone and have them shipped to me?

Yes, we are taking phone orders for honor cords, but please wait until we have the honor list available closer to the end of the semester.

I have invitation questions. Who do I speak with?

All invitations are done through Herff Jones. Please reach out to them at 1 (800) 837-4235.

What about my ring? Ring Ceremony?
