The University of Houston Police Department, Fire & Life Safety, and Environmental Health & Safety took time out of their workday to participate in Take Your Child to Work Day in June. The day, observed at UH during June, welcomes children from faculty and staff to get a glimpse into the work being done at the University of Houston.

The University of Houston’s Recreation Center was buzzing with energy as benefit-eligible faculty and staff gathered for Human Resources’ annual Wellness & Benefits Fair. This year’s event drew an impressive 1,475 attendees, making it one of the most well-attended fairs in recent years.

Pizza Hut has a storied history at UH, with the restaurant chain previously having multiple locations on or near campus, the latest one being across from the UH Campus Recreation and Wellness Center. Conversations to bring Pizza Hut back to UH have been ongoing for over a year following the closure of McDonald’s in summer 2024.
