Tanya Bandmann is a lecturer of German in the department of modern and classical languages. She has been teaching first and second year language acquisitions classes since 2020, and previously from 1990-1993. Bandmann is also an expert producer of international documentary films, current affairs shows and news reports. She has over 20 years of production experience, 15 of them in New York City. The films she has worked on have been shown on PBS, The Smithsonian Channel, public German television stations (ARD and ZDF) as well as on ARTE, the Franco-German culture channel, and at international film festivals. Her interests are language acquisition and film.
