NUTR 3330: Food Service Systems Management (formerly NUTR 4332)

Includes food safety, menu, purchasing and receiving, production and service, facility design, accounting, marketing, and human resources.

NUTR 3334: Advanced Nutrition (formerly HDCS 3334)
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: junior standing and NUTR 2332. Metabolic pathways of macronutrients. Role of micronutrients in human nutrition.

NUTR 3335: Commercial Food Production (formerly HDCS 3335)
Cr. 3. (2-1). Prerequisites: junior standing and NUTR 3330. Concurrent enrollment in NUTR 3235. Analysis of food service systems in quantity food processing and merchandising.

NUTR 3336: Nutritional Pathophysiology
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: junior standing and NUTR 2332, BIOL 1334, 1134, 1344, and 1144. Diseased and other abnormal physiological processes of various pathological conditions involving the cardiovascular and metabolic systems and their relationship to diet and nutrition.

NUTR 3340: Nutrition In The Life Cycle (formerly HDCS 3340)
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisite: junior standing and NUTR 2332. Changes in nutritional needs from infancy through advanced age. Changes in absorption, metabolism, and utilization of nutrients throughout the life cycle.

NUTR 4235: Food Science II (formerly HDCS 4335)

NUTR 4312: Nutrition Assessment and Planning (formerly NUTR 3333)
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: junior standing, NUTR 2332, 3336, BIOL 1334, 1344, CHEM 1331, and 1332. Determination of nutritional status of individuals, including dietary assessment and anthropometric techniques. Emphasis on diet modification, counseling, documentation, and provision of care.

NUTR 4333: Medical Nutrition Therapy - Cardiovascular
Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: junior standing NUTR 3336 and 4312. Medical nutrition therapy in the management of cardiovascular and renal diseases, diabetes, obesity, and digestive disorders.

NUTR 4334: Community Nutrition (formerly HDCS 4334)

NUTR 4336: Issues In Women's Nutrition

NUTR 4346: Research in Obesity and Weight Management
