VIP Access to University Career Services (UCS) Career Fairs

Graduates of the University of Houston who currently hold an ACS subscription will receive preferential admission to engage with potential employers before the commencement of the career fair. Additionally, they will receive exclusive invitations to other UCS career fairs and events. View upcoming events now!

Access to Cougar Pathway

A web-based job posting and retrieval service.  Alumni have the option to use the search criteria for targeted positions or search for all available positions posted. Jobs are posted for 30 days or until the job is filled, whichever occurs first.

Employers use this database to specifically target students and alumni from the University of Houston. Employers post positions ranging from entry-level to Mid-level Management, Executive, and CEO roles. Approximately 500 full-time positions are consistently posted daily.

CareerShift

CareerShift is a comprehensive job search management system that includes thousands of job listings, organizations, and contacts. 

Access organization contact information, keep notes, and track follow-ups, find H1B-friendly jobs and companies, and store job postings.

All University of Houston Career Centers (University Career Services, Cullen College of Engineering, Bauer College of Business, Natural Science and Mathematics) collaboratively sponsor this platform.

On-Campus Interviews

Alumni interested in interviewing on-campus employers can upload their resume and apply in Cougar Pathway.

If selected for an interview, the employer can schedule your interview to be held at the University Career Services office.

Career Assessments

Whether you are a recent graduate or a seasoned professional, it's important to reflect upon your own personal strengths and career interests. We currently offer the Myers-Briggs and Strong Interest Inventory assessments for a discounted fee. These assessments are completed online and are interpreted by an Alumni Career Development Specialist during a scheduled conseling appoinment.
