University Career Services can assist you in a variety of ways, from providing you with resources that can help your students explore careers, prepare for an employment or graduate school search, or develop professional skills necessary for the world of work. As a faculty member, you play an important role in encouraging your students to consider their cougar pathways to career success and becoming active participants in their own career development by informing them about our services and events.

University of Houston faculty and staff, along with University Career Services, play a critical role in student success by helping our students develop and articulate marketable skills gained in the classroom and through on and off campus employment to secure favorable internships and full time employment.

University Career Services (UCS) offers a multitude of services to assist students and alumni on their pathway to success. Students can Explore different majors using assessments and research; Engage with our counselors through one-on-one counseling and skills workshops - ranging from mock interviews, resume critiques, to job hunting. Students and alumni are empowered to investigate their pathways and network with employers to find the right industry for them. We work with companies and organizations to employ our students during career fairs and on-campus recruitment opportunities which are listed on our Cougar Pathway website.
