Cecilia Ramirez (Geophysics ’07, M.S. ’12)
Cecilia Ramirez serves as the president of the University of Houston Natural Sciences and Mathematics Alumni Association, where she has been committed to ensuring the continued success of the University of Houston and its graduates since 2009. With a background in the oil and gas industry and enthusiasm for giving back, Cecilia brings a rich experience in leadership and collaboration that enables her to promote a strong alumni community and enhance engagement with the university.

David Ibarra (Computer Science ’10)
David Ibarra serves as Vice President of the Natural Sciences and Mathematics Alumni Association at the University of Houston. A proud Cougar, he graduated in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. David is a dedicated mentor and student advisor, committed to strengthening the relationship between alumni and students. In his leadership role, David focuses on mentoring students, fostering a supportive alumni-student network, and promoting collaboration between the NSM College and its alumni community.

Teri Garrett (Chemistry ’01)
Teri Garrett graduated in 2001 with a B.S. in Chemistry from the UH College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and the Honors College. She currently leads the Polymer Fluid Exposure Group at Element Materials Technology. Teri has been on the board of the NSMAA for over 20 years.

Requirements for Board Members
- Graduate of the College of Natural Science and Mathematics
- Able to attend board meetings, usually held on the first Monday of every other month at 6 PM (Contact NSMAA for official dates and locations.)
- Willingness to participate by sharing their time and ideas to further the goals of the NSMAA
