Maggie joined the Learning Abroad team in 2015 after working in Residence Life, Intercultural Education, and Career Development. She holds a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in French with a minor in Spanish from Centenary College of Louisiana. Maggie has studied abroad in France, Belgium, and Guatemala as a student. She speaks French and has working proficiency in Spanish. In addition, she has traveled in Western Europe, Mexico, Canada, Australia, and Peru.

Kailey joined Learning Abroad as an Advisor in December 2017. She was born and raised in Houston and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in English and Theology from the University of St. Thomas. While at St. Thomas she was able to study abroad in London and Singapore. She is currently completing her Master of Education in Counseling at the University of Houston. Prior to Learning Abroad she worked as an International Admissions Counselor. In this role she recruited undergraduate students in China, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
Marisol joined Learning Abroad in September 2015. Marisol was born in Mexico, but was raised in Houston, TX and is fluent in Spanish. Before joining the Learning Abroad team, Marisol worked for the Houston Independent School District for twenty years, where she held a variety of positions leading her to her last position as the school administrative assistant. Marisol has spent many summers in Mexico and has also traveled to Canada. Marisol plans to continue her education in Business Management and Accounting.
Learning Abroad Student Assistant
Isabella joined Learning Abroad in July 2018. She is currently a senior and plans to graduate in Fall 2019 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in English. In spring 2019 she participated in the Swansea University Exchange Internship Program focusing on British and European Politics. She has experience as a United Nations intern and a student alumni at the Texas Asia Society Center, and her passions include interfaith dialogue, immigration, education reform, politics, and law. She plans to attend graduate school for international relations and hopes to pursue a career in international diplomacy.
Learning Abroad Graduate Assistant
Motivated by her passions for travel and education, Lisa joined the Learning Abroad team in Fall 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania and currently enrolled in the Master of Education in Mental health Counseling program here at UH. Lisa has studied, lived, and worked abroad. Her favorite countries are Spain, Ireland, Italy, and Costa Rica. She is a certified TEFL instructor with proficiency in Spanish and a member of International Voice Houston, a multicultural choir with members from more than 35 nations around the world.
