A Workshop for Choral Conductors:
Revisiting Gesture
CHORAL CONDUCTING WORKSHOP
Choral conductors, join us for a day of camaraderie and revisit your gesture with the renowned faculty of The University of Houston, Moores School of Music.
Participants are eligible for 5 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) clock hours.
Conducting spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to the first 10 conductors who register. All remaining registrants will be placed on a wait list and/or automatically enrolled as auditors.
Schedule
- 9:30-9:55 am: Check in
- 10:00 am: Welcome, score-marking; conducting masterclass #1
- 12:00 pm: Lunch (included)
- 12:30 pm: Conducting masterclass #2
- 3:00 pm: Adjourn
What to Bring
- Conductors must bring 20 copies of the piece of music they wish to work on. This music will be returned at the end of the workshop.
- Conductors should also bring markers (yellow, pink, orange, and blue) if using hard copies, and a stylus for marking if using digital music.
Parking
Visitor parking is available, and full instructions will be included in your info sheet after registration.
