UH Students, Faculty & Staff

  • $15–$20 All Other McGovern College Events  
  • FREE for Moores School of Music Ensemble Performances
    • Students: Up to 2 free tickets per event
    • Faculty & Staff: Up to 4 free tickets per event
    • Must reserve at least 2 hours before the performance
    • How to Reserve:
      • Visit kgmcaboxoffice.universitytickets.com
      • Select “Purchase Tickets” under Moores School of Music
      • Change category to "Moores School of Music"
      • Choose the appropriate "UH Student" or "UH Faculty/Staff" ticket type
      • Register using your Cougarnet email to verify eligibility

UH Theatre & Dance Students

  • Free admission to productions you are performing in or working on
    • Contact the Production Stage Manager directly
    • Submit request at least one week before opening  

General Admission & Other Discounts

  • UH Alumni: $15–$20
  • Seniors (65+): $15–$20
  • General Public: $20–$25 

  • Door sales available for most events (first come, first served)  
  • Sold out online? Try our standby option: 
    • Cash-only standby tickets 60 minutes before curtain & only at venue (no phone calls for standbys) 
    • Wait in lobby 30 minutes before show 
    • Seated based on availability in order of purchase 
    • No guarantee of seating together or seat preference

We're improving campus accessibility and creating beautiful new spaces. Parking and access routes have changed near our venues. Please read the following carefully to plan your visit.

What's Happening:

From I-45 South:  

  • Exit Cullen Blvd → Right on Cullen → Left on Elgin St → Parking entrance on right 

From I-45 North:  

  • Exit Elgin-Lockwood-Cullen → Left on Elgin St → Parking entrance on left

Visitors:

Text-to-Pay - $10 flat rate 

  • Elgin Street Garage – Visitor Section 
  • Zone A 
  • Instructions (Complete before you leave your vehicle): 
    • Text the code 21D to 25023. 
    • Click on the link provided in the text message. 
    • Select the amount of time, enter your license plate, and complete payment. 

$10 flat rate 

For larger concerts & events, attendants will be stationed at: 

  • Elgin Street Garage 
  • Zone A 

Additional lots that may be used with prior guest notification: 

  • Lot 18A 
  • Lot 19E 

ACCESSIBILITY & VISITOR POLICIES

All venues are wheelchair and scooter accessible, with options to remain in your device or transfer to a theatre seat. 

To request accessible seating: 

  • Call 713-743-3388 when booking 
  • Available online or by phone

  • Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early for parking and seating 
  • Mobile tickets are accepted — no need to print 
  • Digital programs are available via QR code on site 

  • Children ages 6 and older are welcome 
  • No food, drinks, photography, or recording inside venues 
  • Please silence all phones before performances 
  • Dress comfortably — we want you to enjoy the experience 

Quintero Theatre and Studio 208:

  • No late seating permitted 
  • Re-entry allowed at intermission only

Wortham Theatre & Moores Opera House:

  • Late seating available with usher assistance 
  • Temporary seating provided until intermission 

Note: Once performances begin, tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.
