Why Should I Join this LLC? 

Global House supports the University of Houston’s mission to create global citizens by promoting opportunities that increase global competence across our diverse campus community. 

Through co-curricular programs and partnerships, we build a community of globally minded students prepared to address today’s most pressing global challenges. In Global House, you will build a strong global community, make lifelong friends, enhance any major with a global mindset, grow intercultural communication skills, and prepare for study abroad, fellowships, and global career pathways. 

How Will I Benefit?

• We prioritize a cultural perspective and mindset, encouraging peers who share or are developing international interests.
• We provide connections to peers from various countries and diverse cultural backgrounds, allowing you to practice languages and exchange cultural perspectives with multilingual peers, right here on campus. 
• You will have the opportunity to explore what it means to be globally competent, through exclusive workshops, guest speaker events, excursions, and cultural activities around Houston.
• Our community encourages the development of global competence toward the Global Citizens Credential.

Where Will I Live? 

This community is part of The Quad. You will live in a 4-bedroom suite with one student per furnished bedroom and a private bathroom shared by the suite. Other amenities include: kitchenette with sink, microwave and full-size refrigerator; living room seating area with sectional sofa; gated outdoor courtyard and patio spaces; high-speed internet. 

Global House is located on the first floor and includes a themed study room with global games and decorations for residents to enjoy. 

Eligibility Requirements  

• Students of any major of at least sophomore status.
• Transfer students, international students, Reciprocal Exchange students, Global Guides, and Learning Abroad alums are also welcome to apply.

How Do I Apply? 

Visit the myHousing application in AccessUH and select Global House LLC. Applications are due June 30th. Spaces are limited, so apply early.
