Join us for Meet Your Team night, a vibrant welcome event to make your UH Residence Hall feel like home! Connect with the Coogs in your hall, enjoy free food, find your community through fun games and get to know your people. 

Use this event to get to know your residence hall, whether you're a first-year or an upperclassmen, come build a tight-knit community, the Coog way. 

Games Room Takeover | Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026

Student Center South - Games Room | 7–9 p.m.

Get ready for the Games Room Takeover! This high-energy event is your chance to connect, have fun and make UH your home base. This night is about building a tight-knit Coog community that feels like home. 

Join us to play, snack and connect with future lifelong friends. 

Silent Disco | Friday, Aug. 21, 2026

Student Center Multipurpose | 7–9 p.m.

Get ready to groove at the Silent Disco! Dance to your favorite tunes through wireless headphones, savor delicious Scoop Fusion Italian Ice and strike a pose at the photo booth to capture epic moments with your fellow Coogs.

The first 200 students to arrive will snag exclusive UH merch—perfect for showing off your Cougar pride! Join us to dance, connect and make the Residence Halls feel like Houston is Home.

Cougar Kickoff | Saturday,  Aug. 22, 2026

Student Center South - Houston Room and Ballrooms  | 5–8 p.m.

Cougar Kickoff will take place in the Student Center Houston rooms and Ballrooms and is packed with fun to help you feel right at home.

Get creative with license plate decorating, caricatures, face painting, henna designs and so much more. Join us for an unforgettable experience full of art, games and Cougar spirit!
