COVID-19 Updates:

The General Medicine, Men's, and Women's Health Clinics will continue to operate via Telemedicine.

For the safety of our patients and staff, in-person appointments for acute illness or injury will be scheduled only after an initial telemedicine consultation/triage in which the provider determines an in-person visit is medically necessary in order to provide treatment or care.

You must be residing in the state of Texas at the time of your Telemedicine appointment. Students who will not be in the state of Texas at the time of their appointment will be required to seek medical attention in the state they are currently located.

In-person appointments for General Physicals/Annual Exams in our General Medicine and Women's Health Clinics, immunizations, and lab services are available.

The psychiatry clinic will continue to offer TelePsychiatry services this fall to support our students.

The Student Health Center offers non-emergent, outpatient medical care as well as several specialty clinics. The General Medicine Clinic is open to all currently enrolled UH students and faculty/staff. All Specialty Clinics services are exclusively for students. Appointments are required.

We request that you plan to arrive at the Student Health Center at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow enough time to complete the check-in process. Please take into account the time to travel to our destination which includes traffic and finding a parking space as well as the check-in process so as not to risk a late arrival or no show.

If you arrive after your scheduled check-in time, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment and will be charged a No Show/Late Arrival/Late Cancellation fee.

This policy is in effect for all clinics.
