Academic Student Assistant Program (ASAP)
To assist UH students, Academic HealthPlans has made this UH System-endorsed Student Health Insurance service available to all UH Students through May 1, 2023.
UH students will have 24/7 FREE access to unlimited assessment, counseling and individual crisis intervention, and support for stress, depression, family and relationship concerns, and substance abuse. View the ASAP User Guide.-

What is the Help Hub? It is a Student Health Center online tool containing information, links, and contacts that may assist you with many of your questions and resource needs.
On-Campus COVID-19 Testing
The Student Health Center provides COVID-19 Rapid Antigen testing by appointment for University of Houston students who are sick or may be experiencing symptoms of the virus.

International Students
International students with "F" or "J" visa status are required to be covered under the UHS Student Health Insurance Plan or have equivalent health insurance coverage, regardless of the number of credit hours taken. The University of Houston does not require international students with “non-F” or “non-J” visa status to show proof of health insurance.

The University of Houston Student Health Center & Campus Pharmacy is a comprehensive primary Health Care Facility. We offer affordable and accessible quality primary medical and mental health care. Our Pharmacy offers prescription and non-prescription medications at competitive prices often lower than off-campus. Learn more about the services we offer your student.
After Hours Options
If you get sick after hours, on weekends or holidays and you would like to be seen by a physician, you may seek off-campus health care. There are many options in the Houston area. The list of Convenient Care and Urgent Care Centers on our after hours page offers some suggestions but does not include all available medical facilities.
