Primary Care
The Student Health Center offers services at an affordable cost to all currently enrolled students. At our clinic, you will be cared for by board-certified physicians who are assisted by nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, and certified medical assistants. Services include treatment for both short-term and long-term medical problems and injuries.
The Student Health Center DOES NOT provide services for Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) and Workers' Compensation Injuries/Illnesses.
Students with cold or respiratory symptoms may now choose to schedule IN-PERSON appointments.
Those with a positive diagnosis of COVID-19 will continue to be seen by telehealth only until after the end of their isolation period.
Primary Care appointments can be scheduled online using the Healthy Coog 24/7 patient portal or by calling 713-743-5151 during regular business hours.
Same-day visits are usually available but urgent concerns are prioritized. We strongly encourage you to schedule your same-day appointment as early in the day as possible. Be advised that if you wait until the afternoon to try to be seen in our clinic there is a possibility our appointments will be completely booked for that day.
We request that you plan to arrive at the Student Health Center at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow enough time to complete the check-in process. Please take into account the time to travel to our destination which includes traffic and finding a parking space as well as check-in process so as not to risk a late arrival or no show.
If you arrive after your scheduled check-in time, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment and will be charged a No Show/Late Arrival/Late Cancellation fee.
