If you are experiencing a medical emergency, even if the Student Health Center is open, call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room.
The Student Health Center offers non-emergent, outpatient medical care as well as several specialty clinics to all currently enrolled UH students.
The Student Health Center is not an Urgent Care/Walk-in Center, Emergency Room or extended-hours/24-hour facility.
Restrictions and exclusions to our Scope of Practice include, but are not limited to:
- Medical Emergencies
- Treatment of Pregnant Patients
- Motor Vehicle Accidents
- Work-Related Pain, Injury or Illness
- Eligibility for Services

SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT BY PHONE
Call the Student Health Center Appointment Line during regular business hours to schedule an appointment in any of our clinics.
IN-PERSON APPOINTMENTS: We request that you plan to arrive at the Student Health Center at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow enough time to complete the check-in process. Please take into account the time to travel to our destination which includes traffic and finding a parking space as well as the check-in process so as not to risk a late arrival or no-show.
TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS: We request that you plan to login into the Healthy Coog Patient Portal at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to allow enough time for you to resolve any technical difficulties and to complete the check-in process.
LATE ARRIVAL: If you arrive after your scheduled check-in time, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.
NO SHOW: A No Show fee will be posted to your university account if you fail to arrive at your scheduled appointment without appropriate notice. This policy is in effect for all clinics.
