Eligibility Requirements

 

Bachelor’s Degree

any field of study

Minimum 2.6 GPA

3.0 preferred

The GRE is not required for this program.

 

For international students: This program does not meet the requirements for studying in the U.S. with an F-1 or J-1 visa.

 

Application Materials

Applicants must submit the following application and materials to be considered for admission into the Designing & Developing Educational Multimedia Certificate program and the Online Teaching & Learning Certificate program.

Main Application

The following materials should be submitted through the ApplyWeb application:

Your resume should include your academic history, professional experience, and, if applicable, any relevant research and publications.

Upload a PDF of your official transcript for initial review. If admitted, you must have your official transcripts sent directly to UH. View transcript instructions.

Write a statement of interest that addresses the following:

  • Reasons you should be accepted into the program
  • Your aspirations for the certificate program
  • Your future goals after graduation

Format:

  • 1-2 pages, double-spaced
  • Times New Roman font (12 point)
  • 1-inch margins
The application fee is $25.
All graduate applicants, regardless of citizenship status, must demonstrate proficiency in English to obtain admission to UH. Many applicants meet this requirement based on earning an undergraduate degree in the United States and do not need to submit documentation beyond their transcript. Admissions Decisions

  • Applicants will receive email confirmation via ApplyWeb when all required documents have been received.
  • Admission decisions will be posted on ApplyWeb. You must formally accept your admissions offer in ApplyWeb in order to enroll.
