Developmental Neuropsychology Clinic

The DNC provides comprehensive neuropsychology evaluations for children with learning, attentional, or medical/neurological difficulties, either present at birth or acquired. The goals of an evaluation are to: (a) understand cognitive, academic, and behavioral strengths and weaknesses; (b) provide diagnostic services; and (c) provide individualized recommendations to promote success at school, home, and other settings.

Clinic Information

Dr. Cirino runs the DNC at the University of Houston campus. He is a neuropsychologist by training, and is licensed to practice psychology in Texas. You can find out more about Dr. Cirino here, and more about Dr. Cirino’s Developmental Neuropsychological Laboratory here. Under the supervision of Dr. Cirino, graduate students of the Developmental Neuropsychology lab rotate through the clinic, offering a complement to their research work in this area.

The DNC does not accept insurance, but does operate on a sliding scale fee system ($500 - $1400).

Evaluations take place on a single day (Thursdays) and include interviews, testing, and review of school records and teacher reports. Both oral and written feedback is provided approximately 2-3 weeks after the day of evaluation.
