Interdisciplinary Arts Minor
Minor in Interdisciplinary Arts
The minor in interdisciplinary arts requires a minimum of 15 semester hours, 9 of which must be advanced. Nine of the 15 hours must be taken in residence, of which at least 6 must be at the 3000- or 4000-level. A minimum 2.00 grade point average on all courses applied to the minor is required. Students seeking the minor in interdisciplinary arts are required to complete:
- Visual and Performing Arts Core course (3 hours)
- IART 3300: Introduction to Interdisciplinary Arts (3 hours)
- IART 4300: Collaboration Among the Arts (3 hours)
- 6 hours from the following:
- IART 3395: Special Topics in Interdisciplinary Arts or
- approved courses in Art (ART 3380 or 3381), Art History (ARTH 3376, 4310, or 4375), Music (nonmusic majors: MUSI 1300, 3300, or 3301; music majors: MUSI 4366, 4380, or 4397; both music and nonmusic majors: MUSI 3303 or 3310), Theater and Dance (THEA 1331, 1338, or 3384), and creative writing in the English Department (ENGL 3329, 3330, or 3331).
