Certificate Programs
The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics offers graduate certificates in eight disciplines. Some certificates are stand-alone programs and others are available for students to complete at the same time they are enrolled in their advanced degree.
Chemical Biology Certificate Program
The Departments of Biology and Biochemistry and Chemistry offer a joint graduate training program. Students craft a hybrid curriculum and carry out interdisciplinary research. Students receive a certificate at the same time they complete their advanced degree.
Certificate in Biomedical Sciences
Offered by the Department of Biology and Biochemistry to students pursuing an M.S. in Biology.
Certificate in Materials Science
Offered by the Departments of Chemistry and Physics. Students pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. in either department can receive this certificate at the same time they complete their advanced degree.
Certificate in Computational Mathematics
Offered by the Department of Mathematics to students pursuing an M.S. in Applied Mathematics.
Certificate in Financial Mathematics
Offered by the Department of Mathematics to students pursuing an M.S. in Applied Mathematics.
Certificate in Interactive Game Development
Offered by the Department of Computer Science as a stand-alone program or to students pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science.
Certificate in Hydrogeology
Offered by the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences as a stand-alone program or to students pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. degree in the department.
Certificate in Geographic Information System
Offered by the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences as a stand-alone program or to students pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. degree in the department.
