• More than 200 ranked faculty, including four National Academy of Sciences members and one National Academy of Engineering member
• A solid research funding base with $31 million in annual research expenditures
• Academic collaborations with numerous institutions, industry consortia and partnerships, and outreach programs to local school districts
• Innovative resources to ensure student success, including a centralized testing and tutoring center and peer-led team learning workshops, and
• Focused efforts to recruit and retain minority students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through the Houston Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation.

HireNSM for Employers

HireNSM is a database that allows employers to engage with and hire students in the majors within the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

HireNSM Features

• Post open internships, part-time and full-time jobs
• Schedule on-campus interviews, information sessions and employer pop ups
• Register for Career Fairs

How to Get Started

• Go to HireNSM and select “Sign up” under Employers.
• Complete the form with all required information and hit “Submit.”
• Your information will be reviewed by the NSM Career Center. The review can take 2-3 business days.
• Once your account has been approved, you will receive an email message with your approval and instructions for logging in.

Host an Information Session or Employer Pop Up

Introduce students to your company, its culture, and its current available employment opportunities. Leave the marketing to us. You bring the refreshments and swag.

Scheduling Timeline

Work with our office at least four weeks in advance to reach your target audience.

Information Sessions

Held Monday–Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Reserve your session through HireNSM.

Campus Interviewing Program (In Person or Virtual)

The campus interviewing program allows you to post a job and leave the rest of the details to us. We will promote the position, gather applicants, and schedule the interviews.

All your recruiters need to do is show up in person or virtually for the interviews. Schedule your campus interview through HireNSM.
