Workshops Course Overview
SEP (Scholar Enrichment Program) Workshops provide a relaxed atmosphere in a supportive environment with experienced peer instructors who take a special interest in their students’ success. SEP serves approximately 700 students through workshops each semester and is one of the most academically diverse Peer- Led Team Learning programs in the nation.
Currently, three workshops have been implemented by Dr. Rizk, and are offered for the following courses:
- COSC 2436 - Programming and Data Structures
- COSC 3320 - Algorithms & Data Structures
- COSC 3360 - Operating Systems
The one credit hour workshops are designed to complement the material taught in the class's lecture and/or labs. They are TA led and provide the opportunity for students to review lecture topics, ask personalized questions regarding assignments, or solve practice exam questions in a smaller classroom setting. If you want to ensure you receive the highest possible outcome for one of the three courses listed above, consider enrolling in the workshops, which can be found under the IDNS (Interdisciplinary - NSM) subject code in the schedule builder.
