Texas Leadership Scholars LLC
The Texas Leadership Scholars Living Learning Community (TLS LLC) is a supportive residential community for TLS recipients focused on leadership development, academic success, and connection. Students live alongside peers with similar goals while participating in intentional programming, mentorship opportunities, and campus engagement designed to support their growth both inside and outside the classroom.

Where Will I Live?
This community is part of Cougar Village. You will live in a two-bedroom suite with two students per furnished bedroom and a private bathroom per suite. Other amenities include:
- Mini fridges in room
- Floor kitchens
- High-speed internet
- Study rooms
- Outdoor living room
- Cougar Village Market (convenience store)
- Adjacent to Moody Towers Dining Hall
Eligibility Requirements
Residence in the Texas Leadership Scholars (TLS) LLC is limited to Texas Leadership Scholarship awardees only.
- Visit the myHousing application in AccessUH to sign up for housing.
- Once the list of TLS awardees is received, awardees with reserved housing will be administratively moved into the TLS LLC reservation list.
- Students will enroll in common section of USS 1301 College Success, which satisfies UH Core Writing in the Discipline requirement

The Texas Leadership Scholars (TLS) program seeks top performing students with demonstrated financial need, leadership in their high school community and academic success.
- Demonstrated financial need, as evidenced by FAFSA or TASFA (must be TEXAS Grant eligible). The FAFSA/TASFA must be completed by February 19, 2026.
- Be a graduating High School Senior during the current application cycle from an accredited Texas High School.
- Rank in the top 10% of their class or submit a recommendation letter from their high school principal or counselor.
- Show evidence of leadership and service within your high school and community.
- Be accepted to a participating 4-year institution.
- Complete the application process and receive a recommendation from a principal, teacher, counselor, coach, etc. from their graduating high school official .
