Located within the Hilton University of Houston, the Hall of Honor transforms the College's main lobby into an immersive destination celebrating the history, innovation and future of hospitality. Through thoughtfully designed exhibits, visitors can discover the personal stories, accomplishments and lasting impact of hospitality's most influential leaders.
Designed to inspire students, alumni, industry professionals and visitors alike, the Hall of Honor blends traditional portraiture with interactive technology, creating an engaging experience that connects hospitality's rich heritage with its future.
Interactive Exhibits
Visitors can engage with the museum-quality Hall of Honor experience through:
- A dynamic timeline connecting hospitality milestones with global events
- Interactive kiosk featuring searchable inductee profiles with commissioned portraits and historical storytelling
- Historic artifacts, including menus, hotel keys and other memorabilia
- Original documentary showcasing alumni and faculty stories that highlight Hilton College, the city of Houston and the spirit of hospitality
- Created in partnership with Houston-based creative studio MWM Partners

Celebrating Hospitality Leadership
Since 1996, the Hall of Honor has recognized more than 60 hospitality leaders whose innovation, entrepreneurship and commitment to service have left a lasting impact on the industry. Honorees represent every facet of hospitality — from lodging and restaurants to tourism, foodservice and entertainment — and include many of the world's most recognizable names.
Preserving Hospitality History
The Hall of Honor Gallery features commissioned portraits of every inductee by artist Robert Lapsley. Additional archival materials, including personal papers, memorabilia and corporate histories, are preserved through the Massad Family Library Research Center and Hospitality Industry Archives, ensuring these remarkable stories remain accessible for generations to come.
