Through topics such as self-advocacy, resilience, emotional intelligence, civic engagement, and storytelling, participants will gain practical tools to navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and confidently advocate for themselves and their communities. Workshops are offered in both in-person and virtual formats, making it easy for students to engage, learn, and grow throughout the year.

Self Advocacy 101: Empower your Voice is an interactive and engaging workshop that introduces self-advocacy as a core skill for college success. Students will practice strategies for setting boundaries and navigating life's challenges, and create a personal action plan to strengthen self-advocacy skills.

students to destigmatize challenges and rethink resilience as a skill that can be
developed. Students will learn practical strategies to build their capacity to address
barriers to personal and academic success, problem-solve, and pivot effectively when
faced with unexpected circumstances.

Emotional Intelligence for Academic and Personal Success is the first in CSAC's Emotional
Intelligence Series and is designed to provide students with the foundational knowledge
and skills necessary to enhance their emotional intelligence, which can contribute
to better academic performance and healthier relationships.

The Difficult Conversations 101 workshop walks participants through identifying emotions during difficult conversations, tools to regulate their nervous systems during moments of conflict, and strategies to communicate effectively when perspectives differ. Participants will explore practical techniques for active listening, navigating disagreement, and responding with confidence and empathy.
