Kainaz Daruwalla
Instructional Assistant
I am a graduate architecture student at the University of Houston, currently serving as an Instructional Assistant for Marketing and Outreach at CSAC. With a strong foundation in design and research, my work is rooted in understanding how spaces and communication strategies can foster connection, identity, and a sense of belonging. Originally from India, my academic journey has been shaped by a deep interest in cultural and community environments, exploring how both physical and social spaces evolve alongside the people they serve.
In my role at CSAC, I support marketing initiatives and outreach efforts, helping to engage students and promote programs that strengthen campus community. I contribute to creating clear, creative, and impactful communication while assisting in building an inclusive and welcoming environment. This role closely aligns with my passion for community-building, allowing me to combine my design sensibilities with strategic communication to enhance how people experience and interact with shared spaces.
Beyond academics and work, I enjoy exploring creative outlets such as arts and crafts, photography, and hands-on design projects. These interests continuously shape my perspective as a designer and strengthen my creativity, attention to detail, and ability to connect with diverse audiences.
“I believe impactful communities are built through thoughtful design and meaningful communication; and I strive to bring both together in everything I do.”
