Cougar Cupboard

How to Use the Cupboard

Sign Up for the Cupboard!

  1. If it is your first time registering, please obtain your FSH ID with the Houston Food Bank by using this link!
  2. If you have an FSH, proceed with the following instructions.
  3. Login to AccessUH.
  4. On the launch page, when you log in, there will be an icon labeled Cougar Cupboard.
    • Looks like this!
  5. After clicking, you will then be redirected to a login page.
  6. Select “Login at University of Houston.”
    • You will log in like you normally would access your Outlook email.
  7. You will then be redirected to fill out registration questions
  8. Registration questions include your name and FSH
  9. If you already have an FSH, you do not need to re-register with the Houston Food Bank
  10. When you enter your FSH, it will not allow you to type the “FSH”; please just type in the number associated with your ID.
  11. Once you submit your information, it will take you to a page labeled appointments (more to come)
  12. And you are done!

The Cougar Cupboard is located at the University Lofts. The address is 4200 Martin Luther King Blvd, Room R101. It can be found on the corner of the first floor.

Students get 30 credits per week and can use the Cupboard multiple times per week during hours of operation as long as those 30 credits are not exceeded. Limits on individual items must be followed. Carts, suitcases, bags, etc can all be brought to aid in transporting the food received.

Fall 2026 Hours

The Cougar Cupboard is closed from August 10 to August 23, 2026 in preparation for the new school year.

Tuesdays 2pm - 6pm (appointment only)
Wednesdays  2pm - 6pm
Thursdays Closed
Fridays  10am - 2pm
First Saturday of each month 10am - 12pm

Parking

Parking in the fire lane in front of the Lofts is not allowed. Parking in the fire lane may result in hefty fines.

If you have a valid UH parking permit and it is during relaxed parking times, you may park in the ungated lots near the space. Read more details on relaxed parking rules here: Relaxed Parking - University of Houston (uh.edu).
