Worldviews in Motion

Worldviews—sets of fundamental assumptions and beliefs about reality—help people make sense of the world and their place in it. The Worldviews In Motion (WIM) Lab explores how people come to adopt certain worldviews and how they become open to changing them.

In particular, the lab is interested in how dynamic processes—like one’s goals, relationships, and sociocultural context—can come to shape worldviews. We aim to use a diverse array of disciplinary perspectives and methodological tools (e.g., experimental, dyadic, big data) to address important questions that impact people’s everyday lives.
