Peter Gu has 7 years of training experience in settings including hospitals, university counseling centers, and prisons. His area of interests include supervision and training, group therapy, ethnic and LGBTQIA+ identity development, interpersonal therapy, TTRPG (Table Top Role Playing Game) therapy, and the impact of technology on mental health. He hopes to create an environment of authenticity, safety, and emphasizes a strengths based, collaborative approach to therapeutic work.

Peter Gu is a doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at UNT. Peter was born and raised in Houston, Texas and attended Baylor University for his undergraduate program and worked on a Masters at Sam Houston State University. His research interests are broadly focused on adjustment and acculturation.
