Parviz Azizov
Parviz Azizov is a PhD candidate in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Tulane University, where his research focuses on probabilistic reliability and risk analysis of offshore energy systems. Advised by Dr. Daniel Shantz and Dr. Kyriakos Papadopoulos, his dissertation develops and applies the Success Path Method (SPM) to quantify system reliability and support risk-informed decision-making for energy infrastructure. His work bridges process engineering and quantitative risk assessment, with applications spanning wind turbine subsystems and offshore energy processes.
Parviz holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Baku Higher Oil School and an MS in Engineering Management from the University of Debrecen. His broader research interests include reliability engineering, process safety, and the integration of statistical modeling into engineering design and analysis.
