Dustin Torkay
Dustin Torkay is a results-driven operations leader with extensive experience managing offshore energy operations and driving large-scale business transformation. As Director of Operations at Seadrill, he leads Gulf of Mexico operations with full accountability for safety, client relationships, asset performance, and financial results.
Dustin is known for combining strategic thinking with disciplined execution, delivering measurable improvements in performance while building strong, high-performing teams. He has successfully integrated assets into operations, expanded market opportunities through new partnerships, and driven initiatives that improve asset utilization and revenue generation.
Previously, he led strategy and transformation initiatives during a major corporate restructuring, overseeing the seamless handover of 22 offshore rigs valued at approximately $5 billion with no operational disruption. He also contributed to enterprise-wide optimization efforts that delivered significant cost savings and improved organizational performance.
Earlier roles include Rig Manager and Head of QHSE for the U.S. and Canada, where he delivered strong safety, operational, and financial performance, including significant injury reduction and sustained operational excellence.
Dustin holds a Master of Science In Technology Commercialization from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University Pomona and he remains actively engaged in industry leadership and safety initiatives.
