S. Camille Peres, Ph.D.

Dr. S. Camille Peres is a Human Factors researcher and practitioner and has investigated the integration of human factors in high-risk industrial settings for over 20 years. She has over 120 peer-reviewed publications on these issues, ranging from human factors in high-risk processing industries, such as oil and gas and chemical processing, to human-robot interaction in disaster environments.

Some recent studies have investigated the performance implications of procedure design. Her research and its application are grounded in the interactive behavior triad, which examines the attributes of the task, user, and context of a working environment to predict interactive behavior and, therefore, identify effective tools/interventions.

She is a Certified Human Factors Professional and is a qualified Human Factors Engineering Technical reviewer for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
