At the University of Houston, student success takes many forms—but for parenting students, the journey to graduation often carries an added layer of responsibility, resilience, and sacrifice.

Nearly 2,000 visitors from all over the country gathered at the UH Campus Recreation natatorium this past month for the collegiate swim & dive competition on March 17, 2025. In a span of three weeks, UH Campus Recreation hosted the swim & dive championships for three athletic conferences: the Big West Conference (BWC), the Mountain West Conference (MWC) and the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).

For many UH students on the weekend of February 22, the #8 Iowa State Cyclone versus the #5 Houston Cougars was set to be the most important basketball game of the weekend. However, for UH student Alex Gonzalez, the most important basketball game of the weekend for him was Texas A&M versus LSU.
