Annual Report
Welcome to the FY2024 Research Annual Report. Join us as we explore the significant
impacts made this year by our researchers at the University of Houston.
Research expenditures continue to rise steadily from last fiscal year. This year, we placed a special emphasis on renewing our research priority areas. Developed with extensive faculty input and external benchmarking, these areas reflect UH’s strengths in energy, health, materials science, and manufacturing as well as its commitment to education and workforce development across disciplines.
The University will strategically support research in the areas of:
- Energy, Security and Sustainability
- Health and Well-being
- Advanced Materials and Manufacturing
- Aerospace and Earth and Planetary Sciences
- Digital Futures and Human Experience
- Education, Civic Engagement, and Workforce Development
Distinguishing these priority areas allows UH to make thoughtful investments while supporting the full breadth of research across our campus.
