Rec Outdoors
We offer a variety of adventure trips each semester crafted to help you step outside and try something new. Led by our student guides, our single-day outings are designed to help you explore incredible destinations, learn new skills, build community, and truly experience the great outdoors.
Most trips are perfect for beginners, though a few may require some prior experience. Whether you’re completely new to outdoor adventure or have been pursuing your favorite hobby for years, an exhilarating experience is awaiting you!

Meet new friends, have a picnic, play games, and relax before coming back to campus. Bike & helmet rental is included in the cost, but you are welcome to bring your own. |

$20.00 | October 28, 2026 | Join us on a trip to Lake Houston where we will go over the basics of selecting tackle, tying knots, casting, and identifying fish species followed by an opportunity to fish yourself - all equipment included. After fishing we will then grab nets & buckets to catch some other aquatic life & learn how to determine the health of our local watershed. |
