Records Retention Schedule(effective 1-27-2021) --- Version 7.00 of the Records Retention Schedule is valid for the period January 27, 2021 through December 31, 2025, and replaces all previously issued versions of this schedule.
Secure Document Shredding
Effective September 1, 2017, Records Retention will no longer be able to accept departmental documents for the purpose of secure shredding. Campus departments can arrange for secure shredding from Austin Task, for any amount, without a contract or going through a procurement process. The state has a contract with the Texas Industries for the Handicapped and Blind (CCG 050815-A-CCG-DD) until August 31, 2010, and Austin Task is the specified vendor for our region. The contract and vendors can be viewed at https://comptroller.texas.gov/purchasing/programs/ccg/document-destruction.php. All orders from Austin Task must be processed via requisition and Purchase Order to allow accurate reporting for the State Use Program. Please see the notification from the University Controller’s Office dated 8/5/2016.

The Records Retention warehouse is locate at the University of Houston Energy Research Park at 4902 Gulf Freeway, Houston TX 77023. The Warehouse can be accessed by going to the Energy Research Park at 5000 Gulf Freeway and driving through a gate on the north side of the Parking area, or via Schlumberger Street
