MATH 3331 - Ordinary Differential Equations

Prerequisite: Math 2318 and Math 2415.

Course DescriptionSystems of ordinary differential equations; existence, uniqueness and stability of solutions; initial value problems; bifurcation theory; Jordan form; higher order equations; Laplace transforms. Computer assignments are required.

*Note: Students may not receive credit for both MATH 3321 and MATH 3331. This course is required for Math majors.

Course outline (brief version): This intermediate (junior) level course is based on Chapters 1—9 of the recommended Boyce, DiPrima, and Meade text, although instructors may omit some optional sections, and will add others.
