MS Computer Science - AI Track

Starting Fall 2026, we will offer a non-thesis Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science - Artificial Intelligence (AI) track.
Modality and Location
The AI track is offered in-person at the UH Katy campus. There is no option to complete it fully online.
Objectives
The AI track provides a rigorous, industry-aligned graduate education that equips students with foundational AI knowledge, practical AI skills, and applied AI experiences to excel in the rapidly evolving field of AI. Our program prepares graduates to design, develop, and deploy responsible and scalable AI solutions for real-world applications with careers in diverse sectors, including technology, healthcare, energy, finance, and more.
Beyond foundational and applied AI knowledge, the program emphasizes AI systems competencies essential for production deployment at scale, including distributed computing, cloud-hosted architectures, AI/ML-Ops, performance, reliability, security, and cost-aware engineering. Graduates will be trained as practitioners who can translate domain problems into AI solutions, implement and iterate models, and operationalize them in modern computing environments.
