Education Graduate Students Honored for Academics, Leadership & Service

The University of Houston College of Education spotlighted six students in honor of Graduate Student Appreciation Week. The honorees were nominated by faculty based on academic excellence, leadership and contributions to the College community. “Being selected made me feel that the faculty and community genuinely valued my work,” said doctoral student Xincui Zhang.

The four assistant professors bring expertise in literacy, social studies and science education as well as public health. “I was drawn to UH because of its strong commitment to interdisciplinary research, especially in literacy, special education and community-engaged partnerships,” said incoming faculty member Albert W.
