UH Goes Teal – Sexual Assault Awareness Month Resource Fair

UH Goes Teal serves as one of the kickoff events for Sexual Assault Awareness Month at the University of Houston. The program features a campus and community resource fair focused on sexual assault awareness, prevention, and survivor support services. Students will have the opportunity to connect with university departments and community partners, participate in interactive activities, and learn about available resources related to sexual misconduct prevention and survivor advocacy.

Campus partners and community agencies will provide educational materials and resources to promote a safer and more supportive campus environment.

Take Back the Night

Date: April 1, 2026
Time: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Student Center Plaza Stage

Take Back the Night is an annual campus event dedicated to raising awareness about sexual violence and interpersonal violence while supporting survivors. The event brings together students, staff, faculty, and community members for a campus walk and awareness gathering that highlights the importance of prevention, community support, and survivor empowerment.

Take Back the Night is part of a national movement focused on ending sexual violence and creating safer communities. Participants will gather in solidarity to promote education, advocacy, and support for those impacted by sexual misconduct.

“Can I Kiss You?” Training with Mike Domitrz

Date: April 16, 2026 
Location: University of Houston Campus

The Division of Student Affairs will host Mike Domitrz, an internationally recognized speaker and founder of The Center for Respect. His “Can I Kiss You?” program focuses on healthy relationships, consent communication, bystander intervention, and building a culture of respect.

This interactive training provides students with practical tools for:

  • Understanding consent and respectful communication
  • Preventing sexual violence and relationship harm
  • Supporting peers and intervening safely in concerning situations
  • Promoting healthy relationship behaviors on campus

The training aligns with UH’s ongoing efforts to strengthen sexual violence prevention education and student awareness initiatives during Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

UH Wellness is available to provide presentations to your class or training for your organization. Topics range from drug and alcohol abuse to sexual assault and sexual misconduct. Please allow a minimum of two weeks advance notice for requests.
