Study Abroad

AAS views international travel as an imperative tool for examining experiences of Africa and the diaspora from experiential perspectives. As such, student participation in study abroad programs provides a key measure of the program’s strength in introducing students to advanced research opportunities and original sources within the discipline. The department encourages students to pursue opportunities offered by the University's Study Abroad office and will provide financial assistance upon request and based on budget.
