Why I Vote

November 7th, 2023, is here and Staff Council wants you to be prepared to exercise your right to vote during the 2023 Elections.

    Early Voting on Campus

    University of Houston Student Center South – Space City Room

    Monday – Saturday October 23 – 28    7 AM - 7 PM

    Sunday October 29    Noon - 7 PM

    Monday – Friday October 30 – November 3   7 AM - 7 PM

     

    Election Day

    University of Houston Student Center South – Space City Room

    November 7, 2023 -- 7AM - 7PM

     

    Other Polling (voting) locations and details vary by county. Please visit the website for the county in which you are registered via the links below.

     

    Important voting dates:

    • October 10: Last Day to Register to Vote
    • October 23 - November 3: Early Voting
    • November 7: Election Day

  • Record your video horizontally. 
  • Give yourself a buffer at the beginning and end of your video by smiling.
  • Share your reason for voting. No names, campaigning, or profanity allowed. 
  • Videos should not exceed 15 seconds. Larger videos may not attach to an email. 
  • Post your video to social media with the #WhyIVote. Tag us @UHstaffcouncil.
  • Email your video to Staff Council at staffcouncil@uh.edu.

Early submissions by October 9, 2023.  The final video submission deadline is October 20, 2023.
