The University of Houston Writing Center is offering virtual personal statement presentation and workshops for the upcoming 2021 HPAC evaluation and medical/dental school application cycle.

To participate, you must complete the following:

Personal Statement Presentation Details:

This presentation will outline the important characteristics of successful personal statements, provides examples of strong statements, allows students to ask questions of a UH Writing Center staff member.

Personal Statement Workshop Details:

After attending a presentation, you may register for a personal statement workshop during which you will receive feedback on a draft of your statement. Please be ready to provide a rough draft of your personal statement that is substantial enough to receive feedback (1/2 page, single-spaced minimum), but it does not need to be fully completed.
