Pre-Health Advising Appointments

Due to COVID-19, appointments and walk-in's with our office are being held virtually. Please review your Navigate appointment confirmation email for details regarding how the appointment will be conducted.

PLEASE NOTE: Our office cannot release advising or financial holds nor can we process major changes or manually enroll students in courses. Please speak with your major advisor regarding these issues.

Current UH students may schedule an appointment with the Pre-Health Advising Center using Navigate.

To schedule a remote Pre-Health appointment, please log onto Navigate:

  • Select “Support Services”
  • Select "Pre-Health Advising Center Online/Remote Appointments"
  • Select the "service" reason for your appointment (e.g., HPAC file, pre-med, pre-PA, etc.)
  • Select an available time-slot to speak with a Health Professions Advisor
  • Include brief details of your questions/issues in the appointment comments box.
  • Review the Navigate Appointment confirmation email to view details on how to connect with the advisor.

Additional appointments are made available in Navigate monthly. If your questions can be discussed through email, feel free to contact prehealth@uh.edu instead of scheduling an appointment.

The Pre-Health Advising Center is now offering virtual walk-in appointments for students who may have quick questions about prerequisite classes, scheduling, or additional resources. Drop-In Appointments are limited to 5-10 minutes.

Spring 2021 virtual drop-in appointments are available:

  • Mondays - 10:00AM - 12:00PM [Dr. Greg Spillers]
  • Wednesdays - 1:30PM - 3:30PM [Dr. Melissa Yeung]
  • Fridays - 10:00AM - 12:00PM [Dr. Melissa Yeung]

You may sign-up 15 minutes before the start of each session. To schedule a virtual drop-in appointment, please log onto Navigate:

  1. Select “Support Services”
  2. Select "Pre-Health Advising Center Online/Remote Appointments"
  3. Select the "service" reason for your appointment (e.g., HPAC file, pre-med, pre-PA, etc.)
  4. Select “View drop-in times” (under the calendar)
  5. Select “First Available Staff”, “Drop-in online” button

Once you have checked-in for the drop in, you will be added to a queue. You will be contacted via Microsoft Teams. If you are unable to stay in the queue, please log back onto Navigate to “Check out” from the queue.
